"Home Making: Artists and the Domestic" represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art and Cornell's College of Human Ecology, celebrating the college's centennial legacy of empowering scientific and artistic study of domestic life. The exhibition transforms the Bartels Gallery into an experimental domestic space through a bare wooden structure that serves as both architectural intervention and metaphorical framework. The exhibition brings together works from the Johnson's permanent collection, the Cornell Fashion + Textile Collection, and iconic furniture pieces that visitors can experience firsthand.

Collaborators:
Denise Green, Kate Addleman-Frankel, Annie Abernathy, Andrea Inselmann
