Project AMELIA was an interactive immersive theater piece that probed the ethics of artificial intelligence and the technology industry. The piece used drama and real-time technology encounters—informed by real audience data—to educate patrons about computer science and promote critical questions and dialogue on data collection and the ethics of persuasion. Attendees were asked to consider whether they want to question authority, engage in critical thinking surrounding ethics, or act to alter the course of events and shed light on questionable practices—all within the theater piece.
